Prospective Families

Academie Da Vinci prides itself in being a small school that devotes a great deal of time to each student and family. Because we are small and have a large number of applicants, we conduct an annual lottery to determine which students will be offered seats. All new families are strongly encouraged to take the school tour and talk with the principal about the school philosophy and mission, and see our classes in session.

Florida School Law requires each entering child must be at least 5 years of age by Sept.1st of that school year. Children with birthdays after Sept. 1 must enroll for the following school year.

Tour Information

School tours are offered most Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. September 2011 through March 1, 2012. Please call the school at (727) 298-2778 to book a tour date. (Tours can be offered at different times/dates for individuals who are unable to make the set tours.)

Lottery

Because the demand for Academie Da Vinci is greater than available seats, we annually conduct a computerized random lottery for families who register for the lottery between Sept. 1, 2011 and March 1, 2012. The lottery is conducted mid-March and families are notified of their offered seat or waiting list number prior to March 31, 2012.

According to our charter with Pinellas County Schools, preference (available seats or, if no seats are available in a grade, the top waiting list position) is offered to these three groups:

siblings - sibling(s) who attend(ed) Academie Da Vinci will be given preference;
active military - any applicant who has a parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who are actively serving in any branch of th military are given preference; and
children of employees - given preference

Families registering after March 2nd, 2012 are placed at the end of the waiting list for that grade on the date they register.
