Dress Code

ADV’s uniform company is French Toast. Dance uniform (see below under “Dance Days”) may be purchased from The Dance Shoppe.

Academie Da Vinci’s Standard Student Attire Policy was established to eliminate distractions, promote a positive learning environment, and help students take the work of school seriously. Our uniform vendor is French Toast.

Bottoms

  • Pants may be khaki, denim, black, or navy (clean, ironed, free of holes and rips, no
    sequins, logos, or frays). Bottoms may be purchased from the French Toast website or
    any other store and free of any logos or writing.
  • Shorts, skorts, capris, skirts, jumpers, and polo dresses must be knee length, and khaki,
    navy, or denim in color. Solid colored (navy, black, white) bike shorts or leggings may be
    worn underneath dresses and skirts.

Tops: 

All ADV tops can be purchased from the school’s vendor, French Toast.

All ADV students must wear ADV logo tops purchased from the school’s vendor, French
Toast.

  • ADV logo polos and/or T-shirts are mandatory every day, unless it is a dance day.
  • ADV Sweatshirts (Solid colored sweatshirts with no logo are allowed, however, an ADV
    shirt must be worn underneath it.)
  • ADV Jackets (Solid color jackets with no logos are allowed, however, an ADV shirt must
    be worn underneath it.)

PE Uniforms: 

  • Grey ADV logo T-shirts or solid white T-shirt and dark shorts or athletic pants. Students must change before and after PE.

Shoes:

  • Sneakers with socks (except when on the dance floor). Dress shoes are appropriate for
    special occasions which will be announced. NOT ALLOWED: knee-high sneakers,
    sandals, platforms, flip-flops, boots, Crocs.

Dance Dress Code

Boys Dancewear – Black t-shirt and black pants (must have some stretch, spandex, etc…) or black basketball shorts. Black slip-on leather jazz shoes are required.

Girls Dancewear – Black Short or Long Sleeved Solid (no mesh or cut-outs) with a pair of plain black ankle or capri length leggings (no mesh or cut-outs). Tan slip-on leather jazz shoes are required.

Hair must be pulled securely back into a bun (preferred) or a neat ponytail. Those with hair too short to pull into a bun or ponytail should wear their hair half up/half down or wear a headband to keep hair neatly off the face. 

Boys Dancewear – Black t-shirt and black pants (must have some stretch, spandex, etc…) or black basketball shorts. Black slip-on leather jazz shoes are required.

Girls Dancewear – Black Short or Long Sleeved Solid (no mesh or cut-outs) with a pair of plain black ankle or capri length leggings (no mesh or cut-outs). Black slip-on leather jazz shoes are required.

Absence Notification

Please note, if your child has been absent from school for 3 or more consecutive days:

  • Three or more consecutive absences require a doctor’s note or other documentation.
  • This form & accompanying documentation below must be received within 2 days of the student’s return to school to help school officials determine the excuse/unexcused status of the absence(s).
  • Please keep a copy of all forms/documentation in the event it may be requested if a student has accumulated 3 or more absences in a semester course or 10 or more absences in an annual course.

In an effort to standardize attendance procedures to review school absences, no other letters/forms will be accepted.
