Spanish Program Overview

At Academie Da Vinci, our Spanish Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Spanish language and culture. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and cultural immersion experiences, students develop proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish while gaining appreciation for the diversity of Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.

Spanish Program By Grade

6th Grade Spanish Program
  • Language Proficiency: Our curriculum focuses on developing students’ language proficiency in Spanish across four key skill areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students engage in interactive activities, conversations, and language games to practice and reinforce their language skills.
  • Grammar and Vocabulary: Students learn essential grammar rules and vocabulary to build a strong foundation in the Spanish language. Lessons cover topics such as verb conjugation, sentence structure, noun-adjective agreement, and common idiomatic expressions.
  • Cultural Competence: In addition to language skills, our program emphasizes cultural competence and awareness. Students learn about the customs, traditions, history, and geography of Spanish-speaking countries, gaining insight into the rich and diverse tapestry of Hispanic cultures.
  • Authentic Resources: Students have access to authentic resources such as Spanish-language books, articles, videos, and music to expose them to real-world language use and cultural content. These resources help students develop their language skills in authentic contexts and broaden their cultural understanding.
  • Interactive Learning: Our Spanish Program incorporates a variety of interactive learning activities, including role-plays, skits, multimedia presentations, and group projects. These activities engage students actively in the learning process and promote collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Ongoing assessment and feedback are integral parts of our Spanish Program. Teachers use a variety of assessment tools, including quizzes, tests, presentations, and projects, to evaluate students’ language proficiency and track their progress over time.
  • Integration with Other Subjects: Whenever possible, Spanish language instruction is integrated with other subject areas, such as social studies, science, and literature, to provide interdisciplinary learning opportunities and reinforce language skills in meaningful contexts.

Through our Spanish Program, we aim to equip students with the linguistic and cultural competence needed to communicate effectively in Spanish and navigate multicultural settings with confidence and respect. By fostering an appreciation for language and culture, we empower students to become global citizens who value diversity and embrace intercultural understanding.
