Music Program Overview

On our campus, we are proud to offer two dedicated music rooms where students can explore both vocal and instrumental music. These spaces serve as creative hubs where students can develop their musical talents and express themselves through the universal language of music.

At Academie Da Vinci, we believe in the transformative power of the arts, and our music and theater programs are designed to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and instill a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts in our students. Through engaging classes, rehearsals, and performances, we strive to provide a supportive and enriching environment where students can explore their passions, develop their talents, and discover the joy of artistic expression.

In our upper grades music classes students explore performance and written expression of music. Students learn basic music theory, including composing and performing an original song, singing technique and vocal performance, and instrumental techniques in recorder consort, ukulele, and pitched and unpitched percussion. Students also study theater skills and music theater. Each year their skills are highlighted in a music theater performance in the spring semester.

Music Program By Grade

K to 3rd Grade Music Program

Students attend music class twice per week. Young musicians have fun and are fully engaged as they sing, play, create, explore, and move. Lessons are aligned with the Florida Standards.

All students participate in the winter and spring shows.  Participation in our winter and spring shows is a highlight for all students, allowing them to showcase their musical talents and accomplishments to family and friends. These performances not only celebrate the students’ hard work and dedication but also help to instill confidence and pride in their musical abilities.

At ADV, our fourth and fifth-grade students embark on a musical journey through engaging weekly music classes that culminate in captivating Winter and Spring shows. These classes provide students with a well-rounded musical education, covering both vocal and instrumental music in alignment with the Florida Standards.  In addition to classroom instruction, all fourth and fifth-grade students have the exciting opportunity to audition for the prestigious All-State Chorus, showcasing their vocal talents on a statewide platform. Furthermore, fifth-grade students may opt to participate in the Pinellas County All County Chorus, further honing their skills and representing our school at a county level.

For students seeking a deeper dive into the world of music theater, our Music Elective program offers an immersive experience focused on this dynamic genre. Throughout the year, students explore various aspects of music theater, including singing, acting, and stage performance, culminating in an exhilarating music theater show in the spring. To support their participation in this live performance, there is a studio fee of $26 for all electives, covering the necessary materials and supplies.

At ADV, we believe in providing our students with diverse opportunities for artistic expression and growth. Through our comprehensive music program and elective offerings, we aim to inspire a lifelong love for music while nurturing students’ talents and fostering their confidence on and off the stage.
