2025-26 Lottery!
Academie Da Vinci will be accepting applications on October 1, 2024 for openings for the 2025-2026 year.
This year our lottery will be held on January 21, 2025 (computerized random lottery), 1060 Keene Road, Dunedin, Florida 34698. An Email (only winning lottery seats) will be sent out on January 23, 2025 and will have 24 hours to respond to accept the seat. After all the emails have gone out, if Academie Da Vinci calls a family on the waitlist with an open seat, they will have 24 hours to accept the seat. After 24 hours, if the seat is not accepted the next family on the waitlist will be called.

Current families DO NOT need to re-apply for their seat, but they do need to respond to the Intent to Return letter. Families currently on the waitlist for the 2024-2025 school year DO need to re-apply.
Academie Da Vinci prides itself in being a small school that devotes a great deal of time to each student and family. Because we are small and have a large number of applicants, we conduct an annual lottery to determine which students will be offered seats. All new families are encouraged to take the school tour (prior to lottery) and talk with the principal about the school philosophy and mission, and see our classes in session.
Please Note: Florida School Law requires each entering child must be at least 5 years of age by September 1st of that school year. Children with birthdays after September 1 must enroll for the following school year.
Kindergarten Lottery
Because the demand for Academie Da Vinci is greater than available seats, we annually conduct a computerized random lottery for families who register for the lottery between October 1, 2024 and January 17, 2025. The lottery is conducted January 21, 2025 and families are notified by email (winning lottery seats) of their offered seat or waiting list number sent out shortly thereafter.
According to our charter with Pinellas County Schools, preference (available seats or, if no seats are available in a grade, the top waiting list position) is offered to these three groups:
- Siblings – sibling(s) who attend Academie Da Vinci will be given preference;
- Children of Employees – given preference
- Active Military – any applicant who has a parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who are actively serving in any branch of the military are given preference;
Families registering after January 17, 2025 are placed at the end of the waiting list for that grade on the date they register.
It is the policy of this school that there will be no discrimination or harassment of individuals or groups on the grounds of age, citizenship, color, disability, national origin, parental or marital status, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation in any educational programs, activities, or employment.

Lottery Policy
The following policy is used in determining the order in which prospective students are taken off the wait list. This ensures fair and equitable treatment of all those interested in enrolling at Academie Da Vinci. Our school will follow the enrollment calendar established by the Pinellas County School Board for the School Choice Program.
New Applicants – The application period is between October 1 2024 and January 17, 2025 of the year prior to desired admission. All applications received by January 17th will be entered into a random lottery system. Letters (email) will be sent to parents informing them of their offered seat. All prospective students who miss the January 17th application deadline will be added to the waiting list in the order in which the enrollment forms were received after the names of those in the lottery.
When seat availability numbers are known by the school, prospective students will be invited to fill the vacancies according to this policy. Parents or guardians will be given 24 hours to respond to the invitation. If a response is not received in that time it will be assumed that the student is no longer interested in enrolling and the vacancy will be given to a student further down the list.
- Sibling Preference – Any student interested in enrolling in Academie Da Vinci who has a sibling already enrolled in the school shall be given preference. The enrollment form must be received by the school at any time during the open enrollment period.
- Family Consideration – In the event that a family with multiple siblings is interested in enrolling for the same school year, family consideration will be given. Therefore, whenever possible, siblings not currently enrolled in the school shall be given preference.
- Children of Employees Preference – Any student of an ADV employee shall be given preference.
- Military Preference – Any student interested in enrolling in Academie Da Vinci who has a parent or guardian who is active in the military shall be given preference. The enrollment form must be received by the school at any time during the open enrollment period.
Pursuant to FL statue 1002.31 students residing in the district will have priority over those residing outside the district.
