Reporting and Safety

Report Child Abuse, Abandonment, or Neglect
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
Florida law requires suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect to be reported immediately to the Florida Abuse Hotline.
Report Employee or Educator Misconduct
Alleged misconduct by an educational support employee, instructional employee, or school administrator that affects a student’s health, safety, or welfare should be reported promptly, orally or in writing.
Report concerns to Principal Yvette Ditmyer-Brown at browny@academiedavinci.org, or Missy at the front desk at bohrm@academiedavinci.org or 727-298-2778.
If an allegation involves the principal, or reporting through the school office is not possible, contact Governing Board President Susan Latvala through the Governance page.
Employees who fail to report suspected or actual child abuse or alleged employee misconduct may face disciplinary action under school policy and applicable law. Educators may also face certificate-related consequences.
