Florida law requires suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect to be reported immediately to the Florida Abuse Hotline.

Alleged misconduct by an educational support employee, instructional employee, or school administrator that affects a student’s health, safety, or welfare should be reported promptly, orally or in writing.

Employees who fail to report suspected or actual child abuse or alleged employee misconduct may face disciplinary action under school policy and applicable law. Educators may also face certificate-related consequences.

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act protects children and youth who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. This can include students staying temporarily with others because of loss of housing or economic hardship; living in motels, shelters, vehicles, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, or similar temporary settings; and unaccompanied youth.

Eligible students have the right to:

• Receive a free, appropriate public education and enroll immediately, even when records normally required for enrollment are not available.
• Remain in the school of origin when it is in the student’s best interest, or enroll in the school serving the area where the student is temporarily living.
• Receive transportation to and from the school of origin when required under the Act.
• Participate fully in school programs and receive services for which the student is eligible, including school meals and educational support.
• Remain enrolled while an enrollment or school-selection dispute is resolved promptly and receive information about appeal rights.

Management Relationship: Academie Da Vinci does not contract with a Charter Management Organization (CMO), Education Management Organization (EMO), or any other school management company. The school is governed by its nonprofit Board of Directors and managed by school leadership.

The application period for the 2026-2027 school year was October 1, 2025 through January 16, 2026. The computerized lottery was held January 21, 2026, with winning-seat notices sent January 23, 2026.
